My husband grew up very close to his family and his Christian faith. A successful marriage is one of the purest expressions of human love and union. When I came into this marriage, I wanted very much to respect his and his family’s faith. Naturally, I am of East Asian descent where Christianity is uncommon. When we started dating, before I met his family, I asked my husband to familiarized me with how faith influences his family’s expectations. The expectations for our relationship, our (eventual) marriage, and the duties of a faithful wife was what I wanted to understand. These are handpicked verses and beautiful bible quotes that resonated with my husband and me the most.
